Mom Bakken’s Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°.
  2. Mix butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla, beat well.
  3. Dissolve cocoa in a small amount of hot water. Mix into batter.
  4. Add flour, baking powder and salt, beat well.
  5. Spread into greased 8×8 baking pan. Bake 25-30 minutes until done.
  6. When cool frost with chocolate frosting or dust with powdered sugar.
  7. Cut into bars and serve.
